URBAN SKETCHING: Tarlac San Sebastian Cathedral

image

I’m always fascinated by the beauty of our cathedral since then, not just because it’s a holy place but also because of its artistic features, like the candle chandeliers and other embellishments of its interior and the art of the stained glasses and the lofty bell tower of its facade. The San Sebastian Cathedral, is a post-war, neo-gothic church located in Tarlac, Philippines. The cathedral, which was dedicated to Saint Sebastian in 1686, is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tarlac.

FACT though: I was born coinciding the feast day of St. Sebastian, so everyone is celebrating the city fiesta while my mother is giving birth to me

So, since the cathedral is just a number of meters away from my college building, I decided to have a walk and sketch the edifice.
